Messages for Loved ones was an interactive web-based project spurred by the loss of my own dad in the fall of 2020. In the wake of the pandemic, I wanted to create a way for people experiencing loss to reconnect with loved ones, and generated a phone number where people could leave messages for those who were no longer with us. The messages were coupled with animations I created and added to a website that was only shared with project participants, where they could view their own and others’ animations and messages.
